Is your site ready for the Google Mobile update: 21st April 2015
In a couple of weeks Google will make a big change to it’s search algorithm that will effect everyone to some degree. They are rewarding websites that put mobile first to ensure more relevant mobile-friendly results appear to the growing number of users on mobiles and tablets. This is a welcome change to continue the progress of providing better websites to users so we can all enjoy a better browsing experience.
So what does this mean for you?
Simply, if your website is not responsive and does not cater for mobile traffic you will be punished in the SERP’s (Search Engine Results Pages). It’s very likely your position will drop in favour of sites that have implemented responsive change.
How can I get ready?
Speak to us. Our team will provide a free telephone consultation and test your website to see how it looks in the eyes of Google. We can then recommend changes you should make. If your site is not responsive and you do not wish to have a new site created, there are other temporary options we can implement to soften the blow, but in no way can guarantee your position will remain the same.
Do I need to bother?
If rank is important; Yes! If however you do not rely on your Google position to generate traffic, leads or sales then No.
